What is DeFi & How much can I Earn?
"DeFi" stands for decentralized finance a term used to describe a vast ecosystem of powerful financial tools that run on a decentralized infrastructure powered by Blockchain free from the control of any intermediaries. All DeFi protocols are considered high risk investing.
With CeFi, centralized finance, you might earn 1% interest on your investment over 12 months but with DeFi earnings of 1% interest on your investment can occur DAILY and this number is on the low end as there are higher risk protocols that pay upwards of 8% interest per day creating a fantastic stream of passive income.

What is Crypto Staking?
Crypto Staking is a way to put your cryptocurrency to work and earn rewards on it. Staking is a growing trend in crypto that involves locking up digital assets in a smart contract for a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) network. For long-term investors, staking can be a smart way to increase your earnings.
What is Crypto Yield Farming?
Yield Farming is a process where users lend or borrow cryptocurrency on a DeFi platform and earn cryptocurrency in return for their services. Yield farmers can earn from transaction fees, token rewards, interest, and price appreciation. Yield farmers who get involved early with a new project or strategy can reap sizable profits in comparison to crypto staking protocols.
Are there Risks?
Yes! You must only invest risk capital! Scams, exploits and fatal code errors are among the biggest risks associated with using DeFi platforms but as you become more experienced, you will become aware of the warning signs to watch out for before investing in a program. And remember I am NOT a financial advisor.
How to Buy Cryptocurrency
- The first thing you will need to do to buy cryptocurrency is to join a centralized exchange (CEX) like Coinbase or Binanace. Once you have provided all the necessary information requested (if using FIAT to buy cryptocurrency you will be required to do a KYC) you will be ready to purchase your first cryptocurrency. NOTE: You can bypass having to do a KYC if you were to choose exchanges and use the methods described in this article, NO KYC.
- Download a Cryptocurrency Wallet like MetaMask.
- How to Set up MetaMask.
- Add network chains the you plan to use. If you purchased BNB you will need to add the Binance Smart Chain to your MetaMask.
- Add and Import Tokens to Metamask.
- Transfer your cryptocurrency from your exchange to your wallet.
